Construction Photography

For the last few weeks I have been working with Suntec Concrete. All of the photo sessions have been at sun break so we can capture the best light and temperatures.  You have to show up about 45 minutes before sunrise set up at dark and be ready few minutes before the first light of the day starts descending over the subjects.  I always find it humbling when working next to structures and machinery that are too large to comprehend. Working around construction is a bit different than working with models.  You are at the mercy of the construction schedule and the subjects will not care if you are ready or not. You have to be prepared, act fast and be very aware of your surroundings.  Safety trumps everything. If you are not on your top game you are better off not showing up.  It is a challenge I embrace and completely enjoy.
