Chihuly: The Nature of Glass at the Desert Botanical Garden

Mesa  April 03, 2009

I had a chance to visit the Chihuly glass exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden.  I have heard and read great feedback about the exhibit and when a photographer  friend of mind asked me if I wanted to join him in a photo tour I decided it was time to check the exhibit out.  I was not disappointed.  The weather was perfect.  The crowd was heavy but manageable.  If you have not  had a chance to see it. I recommend you go.  You have to make reservations ahead of time.  the exhibit if so popular that if you show up without reservations, chances are very good you will not be able to enter.  If  you enjoy photography, bring your camera.  You will not be the only one with a camera.  There were many of us taking pictures.  Below  is a selections of few images I created from yesterday's visit.

Hi Ivan-

Your outings garnered some great photos. I want to go to the Botanical Gardens to see that beautiful glass display. I've heard so many people talk about it. I like your take on it, your use of negative space. Nice work and aren't animals great subjects? The orangutan is wonderful.
