Mesa, Arizona Aug 31, 2008
Last Saturday, I participated in first ever Worldwide Scott Kelby’s Photo Walk. I had a great time. The weather, the location and the people that participated made the event worthwhile. It is estimated that more than 6,000 people from 43 countries took to the streets on August 23, 2008 to be part of this event. The Photo Walks were organized to celebrate the release of Scott's latest book — The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers. The Phoenix group was coordinated by Charles Dee Rice. We had 50 participants that got together at Tempe Beach Parkand spent two hours capturing images around Mill Av. You can see all images submitted by the Phoenix group here. The event drew professional and amateur photographers. After the walk several of the participants gathered at Monti’s La Casa Vieja for dinner, a demonstration of Light Room 2 by Charles and a lively discussion of the afternoon’s event. The winner of the Phoenix Photo Walk was Mark Elliot Williams. Here is his winning entry. Great job Mark!
